Should something of my exhusbands show up on my credit report?

My now ex and i filed bankruptcy a couple of years ago. He was in business for himself and had a deal go bad, so it was included in the bankruptcy. My name was not on his business. Now a %26quot;judgement%26quot; for this business deal is showing up against me on my credit. Is this right?-Just because we filed bankruptcy together?

The debts incurred durning the marrage are joint debts. He filed but his bankruspy only covered his portion of your joint debts. You will need to file to clear up your credit.

You were married to him. That makes you liable for the debt.

It could be something else that%26#039;s not related to the business. My ex wife and I had joint credit cards together %26amp; I am still paying for them after 2 years. We did not file bankruptcy but I was looking into it pretty seriously. If the creditor was not included in the bankruptcy then that could be what it is.
