I have some credit cards that at one point I used close to 75% or more of the credit. I had them paid at the end of the month but the high balance is still that number. Does this hurt my credit and how much?
How can you get a high balance for a credit card erased or lowered on your credit report?
%26quot;High balance%26quot; is the highest amount you have had on the card. You can%26#039;t remove it from the report. As long as the current balance info is accurate, don%26#039;t sweat it.

If you aren%26#039;t making regular payments on time, then yes it can very much hurt your credit, raise your annual rate, and increase your interest rate you payback. Cut up the cards, and pay them all off, asap

This sounds like one of CapitalOne%26#039;s tricks....They do not report your actual credit limit but rather your highest ever balance as your credit limit.....It doesn%26#039;t hurt you as long as your actual balance is not near the reported high balance.
