If you have in the recent past got rid of all credit agreements why can you not get a score. And why can I not have an ordinary bak account to bring into play direct debits standing orders etc.

You can get your free credit report (no fees, catches or anything) from http://www.annualcreditreport.com

Currently the law does not require them to give you a free credit score. YOu need to pay for that. Many places offer yo a score, but it%26#039;s not the FICO score that most lenders request. To get that, you need to visit http://www.myfico.com

You should be able to get a bank account, just keep checking around.

Try http://www.annualcreditreport.com It should be free because of the laws in the state you live in.

You are entitled, by law, to one free credit report per year from each of the 3 major buearos. You have to submmit a written request. I don%26#039;t think you can do it online. But check each of their sites. transunion.com, equifax.com and experian.com.

Free credit reports are usually only you given if you%26#039;ve been denied credit.

You may also want to check credco.com for credit information.

It is so they can pull it up but if you mail in your written request then you can get it without a credit card. If you just settled a bunch of things then you might want to wait till everything goes through.

Also, if you apply for a retail credit card, they will send you a rejection letter with an option for a copy of your credit report. You can get one that way too.
